Route Outline

Getting There: If you are coming from Caher direction follow the N24 towards
Tipperary for about 5 km and turn left to Rossadrehid. (R927 292)
If you are coming from Tipperary direction you will turn Right off the
N24 in Bansha to Rossadrehid. (R927 292)
Turn off left at Rossadrehid Post Office (R927 292) beside the
Telephone Box. Follow the tar road south and then west for 1 % km to
a hard filling track. The Car park will be marked from here with flags

Friday
Check In: Check in from 7.00pm onwards Last Cheek in 10.30pm)

a gear check and brief from a member of staff.

Escape routes are either North off the Ridge to the Road or South to the N8. If for some reason you do need to come off the mountain you must contact the Co.Ordinator to let them know. You will be given a Phone number at the check in for this eventuality.

General Notes: This is only a route Outline. it is important that your patrol prepares a route card and is aware of the times between each checkpoint, bearings etc. The Patrols will carry their packs for the whole route so please choose your patrol with this in mind. Please ensure that the patrol is properly prepared for the weekend, there will be a full equipment check at the start. Patrols who are inadequately prepared will be turned away. There is a gear check list and recommendations in the Backpacking and Hillwalking booklet provided with the package.

If the weather is poor the route may be changed to suit, you Will be notified of this by the staff.
